# Ad Space Manifest release history

Initial stable Manifest 1 release.

- Defines the canonical publisher resource as `https://<publisher-host>/adspace.json`.
- Separates the compatibility major in `specVersion` from the immutable schema release in `$schema`.
- Defines publisher, collection, listing, placement, availability, creative-requirement, offer, price, observation, link, and extension structures.
- Requires integer minor-unit money paired with an ISO 4217 currency.
- Opens objects to additive properties and vocabularies to unknown tokens or absolute URIs.
- Defines deterministic transport, parsing, structural, semantic, compatibility, and authoring diagnostics.
- Publishes the first conformance bundle and AI-agent implementation prompt.

### Release policy

Patch and minor schema releases within Manifest 1 may add optional properties, warnings, examples, or vocabulary values. They may not reinterpret existing data or make an accepted Manifest 1 document invalid. A change to required properties, existing meaning, identity rules, or parsing behavior requires a new `specVersion` major.

Consumers must ignore unknown properties and preserve unknown extension data when proxying. A Manifest 1 consumer may validate an unknown future same-major schema against its latest supported core, but must report that it cannot claim full conformance to the unknown release.
